US military guns lost stolen from North Carolina bases

Fort Bragg will observe its 100th anniversary on Sept. 4.  In honor of reaching this milestone, the Governor of the State of North Carolina Roy Cooper signed a proclamation officially recognizing Sept. 4 as Fort Bragg Centennial Anniversary Day.

From Camp Bragg to Fort Bragg, an artillery training camp to the home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces, the signing of the proclamation by the State of North Carolina signifies the togetherness of Fort Bragg and North Carolina communities.

“It is an extreme honor for the State of North Carolina to officially recognize Fort Bragg’s 100th anniversary,” said Tom McCollum, Fort Bragg Garrison Public Affairs Officer. “For 100 years, Fort Bragg service members have fought for our nation to ensure the safety and well-being of the American people. The proclamation shows that North Carolina is the most military-friendly state.”
