COVID shots for North Carolina kids 5 to 11 widely available

On May 1, the Moore County Health Department will offer COVID-19 vaccinations for the general public at the National Guard Armory in Southern Pines (500 Morganton Road) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. No appointment is necessary for the event and walk-ins are welcomed.

Anyone age 16 or older is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Individuals who are under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who can provide consent for vaccination.

COVID-19 vaccines are free to everyone, regardless of whether you have health insurance.

The Moore County Health Department, located at 705 Pinehurst Avenue in Carthage, offers COVID-19 vaccine clinics weekly. Appointments can be made by calling 910-947-SHOT (7468) anytime Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
