No injuries after truck overturns

A dump truck carrying a load of broken-up asphalt overturned on Beulah Hill Church Road just north of the intersection with Carthage Road in West End on Friday morning. The incident blocked one lane, and the road was partially closed during the cleanup of the scene.

First responders had to knock out the truck’s windshield to get the driver out, but he was uninjured.

No injuries after dump truck overturns

Troopers on scene tell Sandhill Sentinel that another vehicle was traveling southbound on Beulah Hill Church Road, and the dump truck driver had to swerve to miss hitting the other vehicle. The truck ran off the right side of the road and overturned. Pieces of asphalt the truck was carrying spilled onto the shoulder of the road.

No charges will be filed against the truck driver. The driver of the other vehicle did not stop at the scene.
