Mr. Alonzo “BJ” Campbell, 92, of Southern Pines, NC, died Sunday, December 25, 2017, at his residence.
Funeral Service: Saturday, December 30, 2017, 1:00 PM, First Missionary Baptist Church, 315 South Gaines Street, Southern Pines.
Viewing: Saturday, December 30, 2017, 12 Noon – 1:00 PM, at the church.
Inurnment will be held at a later date, in the Sandhills State Veteran’s Cemetery, Ft. Bragg, NC.
Mr. Campbell was a World War II Veteran, and he was employed as a Head Chef in New York for many years, before making Southern Pines his home.
Survivors: Daughters, Mai Fleming Holland (Maurice) and Mary Campbell; sister, Dorothy Thompson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews, Barbara, Helen, Chris, James, Roy, and Zan; and other relatives.
