Alice Wyckoff Bullard, 68, passed away at her residence in Pinehurst, NC on Friday, September 30, 2022.
Alice was born November 2, 1953, in Ashland, OH to the late Gilbert Raymond and Martha Joy Wyckoff.
The family moved to Alabama when Alice was 2 years old, and then to Charlotte, NC in 1966. She graduated from Charlotte Christian High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree from Philadelphia College of Bible. She spent much of her career as a Social Worker in Lee and Chatham County, working in Adult and Child Protective Services. She loved rescuing animals and providing them with a loving home. Her latest rescue was her beloved dog Sammie, who is now being cared for by her son, Matthew. Alice was a dedicated follower of Christ.
She will be loved and remembered by many, including her son Matthew Bullard of Raleigh, NC; sister Diane Williams (husband Terry) of Knoxville, TN., brother David Wyckoff (wife Carla) of Stafford, VA., sister Elizabeth Prestridge (husband Mickey) of Ennis, TX.; relatives Steve Libby, Christopher Wyckoff, Lucas Wyckoff, Caleb Wyckoff, Kimberly Showalter, Charlene Hughes, Barbara Falkner; loving friends Paula and Bill Daigle of Southern Pines, NC, Vonel and Amy Bullard of Sanford, NC, Annie and Bill Freeman of Sanford, NC, Patricia and Jack Benzenhafer of High Point, NC; and dearest dog Sammie.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert Raymond and Martha Joy Wyckoff, and husband Edward Bullard.
A visitation will be held at Miller-Boles Funeral Home, 1150 Fire Tower Road, Sanford, NC 27330 on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1:00PM. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00PM, with Jack Benzenhafer officiating.
