Entombment: Pinelawn Memorial Park, 1105 West Morganton Road, Southern Pines.
Survivors: Children, Brenda Simpson-Carrion, Wanda Brisco, Garry, Paul, and Dwayne (Arienne) Simpson; brothers, Martin, James, and Leo (Mary) Goins; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
