Christine Bernard is now an “Angel Shopping in Heaven” and no longer with us.  She passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in her home in Pinehurst, NC after a long illness.

She was born October 23, 1938 in New Rochelle, NY to the late Charles and Christine Iannuzzi.  Christine was a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City and New York University.  She found much success as an interior designer in both Connecticut and Florida.  Upon her retirement, she moved to North Carolina where she worked as an artist doing hand-painted murals and other works of art with her son Jim.  There was never a time when she was not pursing some type of creative endeavor whether it be painting her famous birds and roosters or creating crafts to sell at the local markets in Hendersonville, NC.  Her other passions were varied and many.  From traveling and cooking to collecting any and everything related to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!

Christine was a beautiful, strong and creative woman who could light up any room.  She was mom to Gillian Cagle (husband Ben Cagle of Huntersville, NC), Jim Bernard (Pinehurst, NC), “Nana” to grandson Nikko Fiorentino (Huntersville, NC) and sister to Gail Corgan (husband Dan of Pinehurst, NC).

She was loved, is missed and will always be cherished.  A celebration of her life is scheduled for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to First Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Pinehurst, NC.

Online condolences can be made to www.bolesfuneralhome.com
