Christine Martinsen Porter, age 61, of Aberdeen, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Open Arms Community Church in Vass with Pastor Rev. Arthur Warren, Jr. and Brian Martinsen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Chris was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 4, 1960, to the late Kenneth and Linda McKenzie Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Porter. She spent her career in retail sales and loved visiting the beach at every opportunity. She also loved to read and solve word search puzzles, but more than anything, she loved her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Craven (Matthew) of Vass; her step-son, Wesley Porter of Virginia; sisters, Donna Brown (John) of Vass, Karen Girton (Glenn) of Lakeview; brothers, Brian Martinsen (Bobbie) of Vass, Mark Ross (Maggie) of Sanford, Sam Ross (Kellie) of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jeremy, Athan and Christian.
