Danny Mitchell Coleman, 62, of Jackson Springs, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, August 6th.

Danny was the loving husband of Debbie Thomas Coleman and grandfather of Jessica Danielle Coleman.  He was the step – father of Joey Kimball and Josh Kimball.  He was the brother of William Coleman (Madge) of Cherryville, Melvis Coleman (Mary) of Star, Edna Callicutt of Lovejoy, Ann Sanders (Larry) of Biscoe, Janie Callicutt (Tommy) of Troy and Judy Hancock of Troy.  He is also survived by his grandchildren:  Kaylie Kimball and Brooke Kimball and by his sister – in – law Brenda Thomas Blakely of West End.  Danny is also survived by several nieces and nephews that he loved so much.

Born in Lumberton on October 11, 1956, he was the son of the late Ernest and Reba Simmons Coleman.  He is preceded in death by his daughter Ashley Renee Coleman, sister Annie Ruth Coleman and very close nephew, Steve Coleman.

Danny moved from Robeson County to Montgomery County when he was a young boy and attended East Montgomery High School.  He had always been a talented musician with a beautiful singing voice; his ministry in music was profound. Danny was a very devout Christian and had been a member of the Marcus United Methodist Church and had recently been called to preach.  His faith was everything to him and he expressed it to everyone he care in contact with.

A funeral service will be held at the Marcus United Methodist Church, 2081 Windblow Rd. Jackson Springs, NC on Saturday, August 10th, 2:00 P.M.  The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.
