Dorothe F. “Dee” Lambert, 77, of Southern Pines, passed peacefully on Thursday April 26th at the FirstHealth Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held at the Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Ave. Southern Pines, on Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. The family will receive at the funeral home following the service.
Dee was born in Queens, N.Y. to the late Walter and Florentine Kelly Heel. Her family had moved to Hollywood, FL where she graduated from high school. Dee raised her family in Florida before moving to Southern Pines in 1977. She had worked as the secretary to the Adjutant General at Ft. Bragg. Dee had been a member of The DOES, a subsidiary of The Elks. She enjoyed golfing, tending to her gardens and flowers and listening to piano music.
Dee was the devoted wife of Arnold Lambert, Jr. She was the loving mother of Chris Warren, Wendy Warren and Heather Parks, husband Buddy and step – mother of Shannon Grubbs, husband Rodney, and Laurie Shotts, husband Rick. She was the grandmother of Alex, Zachary and SummerLyn Parks and step – grandmother of Garrett and Lincoln Shotts, Paul and Sarah Grubbs and Matthew and Olivia Mann.
