Ellen Louise Klingener, 93, beloved wife, sister, aunt, matriarch, and friend, departed this world peacefully on January 27th.
Born December 1st, 1925 in Ridgewood, NY to the late Clara (nee Kunzert) and Charles McKeon. She worked for over 40 years for the CT Corporation in Manhattan and was a longtime resident of Forest Hills NY. She moved to Pinehurst in 1989 with her loving husband, Werner, where they were members of the Pinehurst Country Club and Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Southern Pines. She and Werner were avid golfers, world travelers, and wonderful conversationalists.
She is survived by her nephew Warren McKeon, his wife Cissy McKeon, grandnephews Matthew McKeon and Christopher Stager, and grandnieces Katherine Macholz and Heather McKeon. She was predeceased by her husband Werner, brother Edward McKeon and niece Janet Stager.
Funeral service will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 1517 Luther Way in Southern Pines on Saturday, February 2nd at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home of Pinehurst.
