Francis (Frank) Guerra passed away peacefully on July 22. He is survived by his wife, Linda, children Deborah Borza, Christine Abbott, Kevin Guerra, Dianne Baker, stepdaughter, Christine Dickson and six grandchildren.
He was born May 28, 1931; he attended Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio and the University of Detroit. He served in the United States Air Force that included a tour of duty during the Korean War.
His career was spent in the automotive world with the Kelsey Hayes Company as manager of Product and Prototype Engineering.
Upon retirement, he moved from Michigan to Pinehurst in 1990 with his former wife, Patricia who was deceased in 2004. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church where he was very active with the Knights of Columbus and often volunteered in community events.
He especially loved golf, wood crafting, lawn bowling and walking his beloved dog, Lulu. Frank also enjoyed spending time with friends at the usual Wednesday night dinner where often he shared a good joke.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 26 from 6-8 pm at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst. A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Pinehurst on Saturday, July 27 at 11 am with Revered John Forbes officiating .
