Obituary for Harold Allen Dugenske of Southern Pines

Harold “Hal” Allen Dugenske, age 80, of Southern Pines, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at his home.

He was born on July 24, 1941 in Ripon, Wisconsin to the late Theodore Dugenske and Frances Hysick Dugenske.  Hal graduated from Lake Forest High Scholl in Illinois. He was a veteran of his country and served in the United States Marine Corp. Hal had a long and successful career of over 20 years with Paris Accessories in New York City. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Whispering Pines in 1997 where Hal would enjoy the game of golf for many years.  Hal and his wife were members of the Whispering Pines Country Club.  He enjoyed both international travel and travel within the states.  Hal was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Hope Herrera Dugenske; two sons: Christopher Allen Dugenske (Corina) of Chicago, IL and Darren Jerome Dugenske (Lea) of St. Petersburg, FL and 4 grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to FirstHealth Hospice for the care and compassion to Hal in his last days.
