James French McIlroy, 59, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Transitions Hospice Care in Raleigh, NC.
James was born in Washington, Pennsylvania to the late William and Margaret French McIlroy. He attended Immaculate Conception School in Washington, PA. From 1981-1985 he worked for CXC Simulations in Houston, TX. From 1988-1996 he worked as head of maintenance for Hampton Inn in Raleigh, NC. He worked as a plumber for the remainder of his working career. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his son Kyle (Michelle) and their children Trevor Caddell and Thomas McIlroy; son Shawn (Aimee) and their children Kara, Margaret and Jackson McIlroy; and his sister Colleen McIlroy Van Eman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother William “Billy” McIlroy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Transitions Hospice Care, 200 Hospice Circle – A4, Raleigh, NC 27607.
