Jane MacKenzie Dyer passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines with Rev. Mike Dubbs officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 AM before the service.
Jane was born September 15, 1934 in Weirton, WV to Kenneth and Yolonne McKenzie. Jane possessed an incredible passion for life and leaves many wonderful friendships from living in Steubenville, OH and the last 18 years in Pinehurst. Jane attended West Virginia University and graduated from Fransiscan University in Steubenville, OH.
Jane is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert J. Dyer, two sons, Kenneth R. Dyer (Dale) of Columbia,SC, Brian Dyer of Steubenville, OH, a sister, Judy M. Garvey of Weirton, WV, a grandson, James Robert Dyer of Huntington, WV, nephews, Tom Padden of Weirton, WV, Jim Padden (Karen) of Steubenville, OH, Bill Padden (Carol), and Dan Padden (Lynn) all of Cambridge, OH, and Jim Garvey of London, UK.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s research hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
