Janet (Kenny) Potter, 90 of Aberdeen, passed on Wednesday, April 11th 2018 at the FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. 

A memorial service will be held 2pm Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Shiloh Presbyterian Church in Raeford with the Rev. Rufus McLean officiating. 

Mrs. Potter was born July 26, 1927 in East Orange, NJ to the late William A. Kenny and Catherine B. (Sparks) Kenny. She was a woman who wore many hats working as a taxi driver, waitress, and supervising library assistant at Ocean County Library in New Jersey. She was a faithful and dependable employee at Wendy’s in Aberdeen for over 13 years. 

She was preceded in death by three of her four children, Warren Potter, Susan Potter, and Patricia Schultz.

She is survived by her son, David Potter of Ridgewood, NJ; A sister, Barbara Woodruff and husband Bill of Whispering Pines. A brother Bill Kenny of Manchester, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
