Joan Ellen Andrews (nee Marotzke) was born March 22, 1944 in Chicago and passed away quietly on June 4, 2019. Joan lived her entire live in Chicago and its suburbs, moving to Pinehurst in 2010 to be closer to her sister and avoid bitter Chicago winters. Joan was a true Chicagoan in her heart and collected images and memorabilia of the city. Joan worked at the headquarters of True Value Hardware for over 20 years. She enjoyed being surrounded by friends, whether she was listening to live bands, dancing, doing needlework or scrapbooking. Joan is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Joe Owen, of Pinehurst.
