John Patrick Lowery, age 53, was born April 11, 1967 to John and Peggie Lowery and departed this life at home, surrounded by his family on December 25, 2020.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Turning Point Worship Center with Rev. Stoney Locklear officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM before the service. Burial will follow at the New Beginning Baptist Church in Raeford.
Patrick leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, Juanita Lowery of the home, son Brandon (Kelly) and his children, Aaden, Antonio, Carlos, and Isabella all of Benson, NC, daughter Kali and her son Shy of Aberdeen, daughter, Brittany and her children, Caleb, Hayden and Trinity, daughter Christian and her children Mya and Aiden, son Aaron and grandson Aaron III. He also leaves behind his parents, John and Peggie Lowery of Aberdeen, his sister Helen Barefoot (Lee) of Maxton, a brother, Ventris Lowery (Christine) of Texas, brother, Chris Lowery (Johnna) of Raeford, brother, John Smith of Wagram and sister Beth Pait of Pinebluff. He also leaves behind 11 nephews, 5 nieces, and host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Willie Lowery, maternal grandmother Mary Jane Perkins and Maternal grandfather John Sampson Pierce.
Patrick was a dedicated member of Turning Point Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Stoney Locklear and he also served as head deacon. He worked at Pinehurst Country Club for 18 years as a golf cart supervisor and was currently employed at St. Joseph of the Pines in the maintenance department.
Patrick’s presence will be greatly missed but we find comfort in knowing that he is resting in the arms of Jesus.
