Joy Willard Smith, age 64, of Aberdeen, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Pratt officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
Joy was born in Pinehurst on February 14, 1957 to Betty Ring Womble and the late Virgil Carlton Willard. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Craig Willard.
She was always friendly and outgoing but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Joy was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Aranda Smith of Winston Salem; sister, Jody Williams/ Jeff of Bear Creek; brothers, David Willard and wife Shelley of Stokesdale, North Carolina, Marty Alan Willard and wife Kaye of Winston Salem and Mitchell Carlton Willard of Vass; grandchildren, Gavin, Jocelynn, Cali, Olivia, Kyleigh nd Ellie.
