Katie Griffin Badgett, age 88 of Carthage died Friday, July 6, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Priest Hill Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Archie Stevens. The family will receive friends following the service in the sanctuary.
A native of Surry County, she was the daughter of Charlie Griffin & Elizabeth Stanley Griffin. She retired from FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in 1990 where she worked as a Diet Therapist for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rex Badgett; sister Vester Southern; brothers James and Worth Griffin.
She is survived by her daughter, Kaye Badgett of Carthage; three sisters, Joyce Thomas of Sanford, Ellen Williams of Sanford, Mary Ann (Edwin) Matthewson of West End.
