Katy Earlene Babb went to her eternal home on Saturday, March 28, 2020 surrounded by family. She was 82. She was born on the family homestead where she lived most of her life.
Earlene has a son and a daughter. She was the only child but grew up surrounded by Aunts and Uncles and Cousins who were farmers. She attended Carthage High School.
She was a hard worker working at various jobs like JP Stevens, Stanley Furniture, with her husband’s floor sanding business and many places as a biscuit maker.
Earlene is survived by her son, James Babb (Jackie Babb) of the home and Anna Sturdevant (Mark) of Pinehurst, and grandsons Wyatt Carpenter and Daniel Sturdevant.
Proceeded in death by her husband Lester Ray Babb and mother Ida Mae Williamson.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with Pastor Chad Nall of Faith Baptist Church officiating, A graveside service will follow at Fairview Baptist Church.
