Malcus Eugene Sauls, age 89, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Compass Health & Rehab in Mebane, North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Vass with Pastor Steve Rosser officiating. Family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Funeral Home.
Gene was born in Wake County on August 23, 1931, to the late Waylon and Gladys Earp Sauls. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.
He is survived by daughters, Nancy Stone Rosser and husband Steve of Sanford and Cindy Sauls of Coats; son Junior Sauls of Coats; grandchildren, Julie Bryant, Rebekah Stone, Stephanie Rosser, Zachary Rosser, and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet “Cricket” Lois Sauls; son, James Archie Stone, Jr; sisters, Audrey Stewart and Thelma Jernigan; brother, Perry Sauls.
