Obituary for Michael Alexander Hinesley Sr. of West End

Michael Alexander Hinesley Sr, 58, of West End, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior, September 16th, 2021. He was born in Moore County, NC, March 25th, 1963. Mike Hinesley graduated from Calvary Christian School and later went on to join the North Carolina Army National Guard where he served as a M1 Abrams crewmember. After Honorable discharge from the National Guard he married his best friend and soul mate, Dawn Hinesley on February 14th, 1989. He went on to follow and perfect his passions and talents in several areas, but he excelled most in his love of building and repairing a large number of homes within his community.

Mike was an entrepreneur dedicated and passionate to his craft. He was a committed and loving husband and father, taking every spare moment to being the family man his family needed from him. Mike also was an aviator that loved flying and influenced many to follow their passion as aviators. He was well-known and admired within his community as a professional in his craft. Among the best, Mike took pride in his work for the community and surrounding communities. As an avid outdoorsman, you could always find him spending quality time with God’s incredible creation with loving family and friends. He loved fishing, scuba diving, maintaining a significant role for Calvary’s youth group, and playing church softball. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.

Mike joins his father, Jerry Hinesley, his mother, Barbara Hinesley, and his baby sister, Gerri Ann Hinesley in Heaven. He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Cornell Hinesley, and five children. Mike Alexander Jr (Kaitlyn), Ryan Wayne, Miranda Lou, Wyatt Addison (Amanda), and Seth Abel. His legacy includes five grandchildren: Capri Rebeckah, Ryker Alexander, Addison Marie, Remington Brooke, and Walker Ryan.

A memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday, September 22,2021  in the Calvary Memorial Church, Southern Pines, NC, by Pastor Charles Garrison. Interment will follow in the Culdee Presbyterian Cemetery, West End, NC. The family will receive friends from 1 till 2.
