Molly Walsh Robertson of Southern Pines, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 30, on October 16, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

She was born on October 29, 1987 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Phoebe Walsh Robertson and William Ernest Robertson, Jr.

As she was voted in her senior year, she was always the life of the party. Her infectious smile and warm personality could make anyone feel welcome and accepted in any situation. She always went out of her way to make sure everyone was having the best time they could have. Molly was full of life, laughter and love and had a true passion for music, especially Widespread Panic. She was a strong, independent woman that would drop everything in the blink of an eye to help her friends or family.

As the granddaughter of Mickey Walsh, her horsemanship came naturally and she thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the equestrian community. She was an accomplished carriage driver, who was awarded the Kelly Valdes Junior Driving Scholarship to compete in the Laurels at Landhope combined driving event in 2002, where she finished second. She was always involved in the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association as the official driver. Molly enjoyed being around children, which led her to nanny two special families over the years, in particular the Russell family. The day she started nannying the Russell’s she became a part of the family.

In addition to her parents, Molly is survived by one sister, Maggie Robertson and her beloved nephew, Michael Robertson; also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and other numerous family and friends.

A Celebration of Molly’s life will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:00PM at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines. Visitation will follow until 5:00PM.
