Morris A. Snell, Sr., age 91, of Aberdeen, died at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, Thursday, February 6, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Marie Boone Snell, two sons, Morris Snell, Jr., and Douglas Snell.
He is survived by a son, Terry Snell of Aberdeen, three granddaughters, Misty, Alexis and Nicole Snell of Boise, ID, a brother, Emmitt Snell of Shelbyville, TN, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Mr. Snell operated a service station for many years in Aberdeen. He served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
A Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Deep Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Jerry Wilson with burial to follow at the Boone Family cemetery in Carthage.
