Patricia S. Vickers, 82, of Pinehurst, passed away peacefully at home in the loving arms of her husband on Thursday, 6 February, 2020 and is now in the arms of Jesus.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, George, her daughters Kozan, Sherry and Rhonda, son in laws Eddie, Norman and Les, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  A celebration of her life will be held at Village Chapel in Pinehurst on Wednesday, Feb 12 at 11am

Pat was born January 29, 1938 in Charleston, West Virginia. She earned her teaching degree and then was married to her high school sweetheart George Vickers.  She proudly served her country by supporting her military husband through 29 moves through the United States and Asia during her husband’s 26 year Army career. These moves allowed her to touch the lives of so many children and adults. Her love of teaching was evident and gave her the drive to complete her Master’s in Learning Disabilities.

She had a strong Christian faith and continually instilled in her children and grandchildren the love of God.  She was loving, courageous and faithfully supported and protected her family many times as a single parent during her husband’s many deployments.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Village Chapel in Pinehurst.
