Paul Duncan Wilson, age 71, of Vass, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2PM Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Cross Roads Community Church with Rev. David Bibey officiating. Burial will follow at Ashley Heights Cemetery.
He was born in Moore County North Carolina on November 9, 1948 to the late Rev. John and Margaret Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Robert Wilson and Howard Wilson. Paul was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Wilson; sons, Danny and Bruce Wilson; daughter, Shirley (Donnie) Wilson; sisters, Janie (Robert) Wicker, Annie Williams, and Judy (Ronald) Scott; grandchildren, Deanna, Hannah, Destiny, Kaitlyn, Natalia, and Donnie Jr., and many neices and nephews.
Paul will be most remembered for his perseverance and his optimistic attitude. He was a glass half-full type person and always looked to the brighter side of things despite all the obstacles that life presented him.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7PM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst.
