Peggy Maynard Shoe, 91, of Pinehurst and former long-time resident of Star, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, NC.
Peggy was born March 16, 1930 in Mebane, NC a daughter of the late John and Bessie Horner Maynard.
Peggy was a postal clerk for the USPS working 32 years at the Star Post Office. Her family was her life, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing games with them and taking them on vacations to the beach.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Nancy Hucks-Folliss; grandsons Thomas A. Fry of Santa Barbara, CA and Andrew Christopher Hucks-Folliss of New York; friends Derek KoKinda of Santa Barbara, CA and Caitlin Hentschel of New York.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Cole Shoe and her brother John Maynard of Star, NC.
The family is planning a private celebration of Peggy’s life in the future.
