Philip Charles Reaper, 69 of Pinehurst died on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst from complications caused by ALS.
He was born January 2, 1950 in Fairborn, OH to the late Lester and Thelma (Holmes) Reaper.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Phyllis Czerwienski Reaper, daughter, Lisa Renee Reaper of Indianapolis, IN; three stepdaughters, Dana Lynn Natale (Bud), Kerry Leigh Purdy (Dan), and Catherine Lane Fountaine (Thomas), all of Syracuse, NY; brother, Jerome Reaper (Martha Ann) two sisters, Sandra Barnett and Lesta Nugent, all of Ohio. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Sara Zwolski, Aidan Caiello, Haley Angell, Kinsey Natale, Ashley Fountaine, Thomas Fountaine, Nicholas Purdy, Megan Mogavero, and Amanda Natale; and 3 great grandchildren: Alanna, Enzo and Bella.
Phil retired from Lockheed-Martin in Syracuse NY in 2005 and moved to Pinehurst NC, where he has been very active in the Pinehurst Country Club organized golf community, including leadership in the Scramblers, MGA and more recently, the Tin Whistles. He loved volunteering for the North South, U.S. Open and other Pinehurst tournaments.
