Obituary for Ricky Patterson

Ricky Patterson was born June 20, 1963, in Moore County, Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC to Frank and Maxine Patterson.

Ricky was a loving husband, son, father, and friend. He worked as an CNA for many years at various nursing homes. He enjoyed fishing and cooking (pretty good cook too). His favorite football team was the Carolina Panthers (but you’ll have to forgive him for that choice). He may have been “pickified”, but that was one of his ways of showing you love. Ricky was a kind and gentle soul, and he will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his wife of three years, Linda D. Patterson of Fayetteville, NC; mother, Maxine Patterson of Aberdeen, NC; three daughters, Chania Patterson of Fayetteville, NC; Shaunta Patterson of Fayetteville, NC; and Keisha McLaughlin of Carthage, NC; a son, Brandon Baldwin of Virginia; a stepdaughter, Cherie Chatman (Monquial) of Lumberton, NC; three stepsons, James Carter (Danisha) of Fayetteville, NC; Johnathan David of Fayetteville, NC; and Jaquan McMillan of Fayetteville, NC; five sisters, Francine Brown (Michael) of Southern Pines, NC; Robin Wilson (Edward) of Spring Lake, NC; Dorothy Saunders of Aberdeen, NC; Sophia Barber of Pinebluff, NC; Crystal Patterson of Aberdeen, NC; two brothers, Victor Patterson of Hoffman, NC; Patrick Patterson (Antoinette) of Maryland; also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Frank Patterson; paternal grandmother, Emma Taylor; aunt, Louise Taylor; a brother-in-law, Darryl Barber; and two nephews, Dalyn Barber and Darien Patterson.

A memorial service will be held 3PM Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Southern Pines.
