Robert Franklin Bundy, 76, of Southern Pines entered fully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 30th, 2018.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11am, Friday, May 4, 2018 followed by a service at 11am at the Southern Pines United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines.

Born March 21, 1942 in Hoke County to the late Lonnie B. Bundy and Lena W. Bundy, he is also preceded in death by brothers Roscoe, Edward, and Henry Bundy and by sisters Erma Nell Beasley, Christine Wright and Betty Bundy.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kitzy Norris Bundy of the home; son, Michael Bundy and wife Ruth of Carolina Lakes; daughter, Lynne Bommele of Raeford; step-daughter, Ashley Posey and husband Mark of Raeford; step-son, Richard Jones of Winnabow; grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Bundy, Lindsey Justice, LeeAnne Bommele and Savannah Starling and husband Dustin; sister, Jean Shepley; brothers, John Thomas (Tommy)Bundy and Lonnie B. (Bobby) Bundy of Raeford; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Frank was the retired owner of R.F. Bundy Construction, Inc. and was a very accomplished builder having won many awards throughout his career.

He devoted his life to the Lord at an early age and, after renewing his commitment in early adulthood, worked tirelessly to witness to others and share God’s love with them. Many people were lead to the Lord through Frank’s personal ministry. He was a faithful member of Southern Pines United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School and serving on many of the church’s committees.
