Robert Lee Brewer, age 87, passed away peacefully Monday, November 9, 2020, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
Lee was born in Moore County on August 5, 1933 to Ellis Robert and Mazie Allen Brewer. He was a truck driver and sawmiller. He was a member of Brown’s Chapel Christian Church, where he served as a deacon for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Williams Brewer and son, Johnny Lee Brewer.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Maness and husband, Steven, of Robbins; son, Glenn Brewer of Robbins; grandchildren, Rider Maness, Destiny Brewer, Johnny Brewer, Jr., Austin Brewer, Robbie Brewer, Holly Stout, Britt Harris, Erica Brewer, Alex Brewer, and Graham Garner; and several great-grandchildren.
Lee’s body will lie in repose from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 12, at Phillips Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, at Brown’s Chapel Christian Church with the Rev. Shawn Garner and Steven Maness officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. COVID-19 restrictions are still being observed by wearing face mask and social distancing.
