Stanley Sessler died at home on July 31 with his beloved Devora “Green Eyes” at his side. Stan and Dev were married for 65 years. He was born in New York City on July 15,1932 to Mollie and Morris Sessler.

Stan graduated from Taft High School and graduated from the State University of New York with a degree in Dental Technology. He served in the Army in the medical corps as a dental technician, and continued in the profession as a lifetime career. 

After moving to Pinehurst in 2003, Stan became a regular volunteer at FirstHealth as a member of the cardiac “Zipper Club”. Both Stan and Dev volunteered together at the Sunrise Theater and with the annual Kids’ Golf Tournaments. They have been active members of the Sandhills Jewish Congregation in Jackson Springs.

His hobbies were woodworking, stained glass, jewelry making, gardening and fixing everything and anything. He loved meeting people and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Stan is survived by children Jane, Peter and Joanne Sessler, Mindy Fineman, Dick Williams, grandchildren Meghan Cedeño and Blair Lithgow, Jennie and Robert Sessler and great grandson Rowan. 

Services will be on Friday August 3, 11 am at the Sandhills Jewish Congregation, 131 Jackson Springs Road, Jackson Springs NC.
