Wendy Bullis, age 47, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House, with her family by her side.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020  at Speakeasy’s Billiards on 1812 Douglas Dr Sanford NC from 5pm to 8pm floating. Please join the family in remembering her gorgeous life.

Wendy was born in Sanford NC on August 28, 1972 to Wanda Gail Lee and the late Jimmy Lee.  In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, John “JP” and Carrie and mother-in-law, Judy Joy.

Loving and cherished wife of Jimmie Bullis, daughter of Wanda Lee of Carthage NC. Wendy took much pride in her three wonderful children, daughter Kimberly (Matthew) of Wilmington NC , son Jordan Herring (Paige) of Carthage NC and a bonus son Jimmie Bullis Jr “Boo” (Lauren) of Atlanta GA. One Godson, Jonathan Godfrey of Sanford NC, two sisters, Michele Turner (Kelly) of Gulf NC and Kristin Allen (Bryan) of Sanford NC as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wendy adored her precious grandchildren Lucas, Sydney, Blake, Jaxson, Cecil and Fallon dearly.

Wendy lived an exceptional life! Her smile lit up any room and her laughter was undeniably contagious. It was no doubt that Wendy’s spunk and energy is what won everyone’s heart. Jimmie was the apple of Wendy’s eye! Their marriage taught others what dedication, devotion and true love looks like. The two love birds enjoyed playing billiards together, antique shopping and taking cruises in their black Cadillac, of course, with the top down! Wendy also enjoyed shopping and coffee dates with her daughter, gaming and fishing with her son and exchanging laughs and heartfelt conversations with her bonus son. Time spent with her children and family was her happy place.  Nothing compares to her love for Harry Potter and her beloved dog, Bane. Wendy gave her entire heart in everything she did, regardless who it was for or what it was. Wendy made it a point to teach her children that “blood doesn’t make you family, loyalty does.”  Anyone who knew her knows the major impact she left on each soul she encountered.
