Obituary Zackary Silas Dunn High Falls

Zackary Silas Dunn, 19, of High Falls, died May 22, 2020 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident while on his way to work.  He was born July 22, 2000 in Pinehurst, the son of Keith and Jessica (Hayes) Dunn. He attended High Falls Elementary and graduated from North Moore High School in 2019.  He was working towards obtaining his CDL’s to be a truck driver.

Zack, as most everyone called him, was a dedicated and responsible young man that knew the value of hardwork. We will remember him for the special young man that he was: ever smiling, happy, and never one to complain.  He had an infectious personality and it was hard not to love him.  He was known to be tight with his money, unless he was buying a gun and he enjoyed playing cards or gambling in the company of his dad, brothers, and closest friends.  Zack was very proud and meticulous when it came to his truck, which he and Sam often rode around in to cruise the big town of Robbins.  Zack had his oldest brother, Dakoda to thank for his love of all things gun related and you could often find them shooting or working gun shows.  On occasion, you’d find him fishing with Sam and making memories that they planned to one day tell their children.

Zack is survived by his father, Keith of High Falls; and two brothers, Dakoda Dunn of Robbins and Samual Dunn of the home.  He also leaves behind his paternal grandmother, Lillian Dunn of Robbins; his maternal grandparents Doug and Susan Smith of Robbins and Billy and Desma Sanders of Green Sea, SC.  He is also survived by his Aunt Shaylyn Sanders of Robbins, his Aunt Andrea and husband David Britt of Winnabow, NC, his Uncle Richard Dunn of Ramsuer, his Uncle Greg and wife Robin Dunn of High Falls, and his Uncle Eric Smith of Aberdeen as well as countless cousins and friends.  Zack is preceded in death by his mother, Jessica and his paternal grandfather, Bobby Dunn, both of Robbins.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 29, 2020 at Pine Mountain Friends Church.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Lillian Dunn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to assist with final expenses.

Kennedy Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dunn family.
