George Oliver Sutton, age 95, of Carthage, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at his home.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Cox Memorial Funeral Home from 4 until 6 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on January 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, Nevada with full Military Honors.
George was born in Commerce, Oklahoma on November 17, 1922 to George “Hap” Sutton and Annie Sutton. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy with over 25 years of service. No life is ever complete without friends that have endeared and enriched our lives along the way, and such is the case with George who maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
He is survived by his sons, George Richard Sutton of California and Bruce Oliver Sutton of Lake Lure, North Carolina; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Sutton and Annie Sutton; wife Ester Sutton; son, Rodney Franklin Sutton.
