Patricia Thomas Raimo, 83, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.  

The family will celebrate the life of Patricia from 1–3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home, Carthage.  

Patricia was a native of Moore County, born Jan. 28, 1934, to the late H. Lee and Bettie Taylor Thomas. 

Patricia was proud of her father’s service as the superintendent of Moore County Schools for 30 years. She loved all her family and was eager to follow all of their accomplishments.

Patricia was a member of Carthage United Methodist Church and was active in many civic organizations, including the DAR.  Not only did she love being a homemaker, caring for her family, she also worked as a pharmacy technician for Moore Regional Hospital. Patricia enjoyed baking and traveling after her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Raimo; sisters, Elizabeth Thomas Cates, Laura Thomas Mathews; brothers H. Lee Thomas Jr., John B. Thomas.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kay McGraw Thompson and husband, James; sons, James L. McGraw III, Lee T. McGraw; granddaughter, Jamie Lauren McGraw; brother Frank J. Thomas; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
