Rebecca “Becca” Jean Muncy, 75, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at First Health Hospice House, Pinehurst.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Congregational Church, Linden Road, Pinehurst. The family will receive friends following the service.
Becca was born October 1, 1942 in Lindsborg, KS to the late Evelyn Nelson and Simon Westman. She received a bachelor’s degree from Bethany College in Lindsborg. She and her husband, Bill, moved to Pinehurst in 1993. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 13, 2017. Becca was known for having a life-long love of horses and music, participating in choirs throughout her life. She also had a hole-in-one at Pinehurst Country Club.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Muncy; nieces Julie Lair, Jill Liguori and Jennifer Rubis; nephew Tom Shilling; brother-in-law Ross Muncy. She is predeceased by her parents, sister Cheryll Shilling, and brother Terry Westman.
