One injured accident Robbins

Authorities were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident outside of Robbins Thursday morning.

Robbins Fire and Rescue, High Falls Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, and North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene on N. Howard Mill Road.

First responders arrived to find a person pinned in the passenger vehicle, said Robbins Fire and Rescue on its Facebook page.

The driver lost control of the car and crashed into a tree. According to Robbins Fire and Rescue, the patient suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The car sustained heavy front end damage in the impact, and the airbag was deployed. The front half of the car was covered with branches while the tow truck pulled the car from the wreckage.

Air Care was called but could not fly due to weather, said authorities.
