Pastor Won Namkoong, of West End Methodist Church, was the speaker during the Kiwanis Club of Seven Lakes weekly meeting, Tuesday, May 30 and is shown here with President, Pat Weber. He shared with the Kiwanis Club slides and memories from his recent solo trip to Israel. Preacher Won spent 10 days in Jerusalem and 8 days at the Sea of Galilee. During his travels he stayed in hostels; met young and old; shared time with Greeks, Armenians, Jews and Muslims; and recognized that each religion guided individuals in their life style. Preacher Won said his trip was an experience he would not change and was grateful for his time traveling the path of Christ. During the meeting, Pastor Won donated money to Happy Dollars in honor of his upcoming 30th wedding anniversary, his 60th birthday, and his upcoming transfer to a church in Shallotte, NC.
