A driver crashed his pickup truck into the front entrance wall of Aberdeen Walmart Saturday afternoon.

The male driver apparently suffered a medical event and struck the corner of the building, just feet away from the front doors.

The accident occurred during a time when the store was filled with shoppers entering and exiting the building; however, no one was hit.

The driver was evaluated and treated at the scene by paramedics. He later declined transport to the hospital by EMS and was taken in a private vehicle.

The vehicle’s airbag was deployed, and the truck suffered front end damage. It’s unclear if there was any damage to the building.

Aberdeen Police Department is investigating the accident.

Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and Aberdeen Police.
