Douglas Alexander Russell, 55, was arrested following the search of his residence on Spring Lake Road in Pinehurst.  According to a news release from Moore County Sheriff’s Office, on July 28th, after receiving numerous complaints of possible drug activity, deputies conducted a consent-search of Russell’s residence.  During the search deputies seized five dosage units of crack-cocaine, 20 Tramadol (schedule II controlled-substance) prescription pills, assorted drug paraphernalia and a firearm.

Sheriff Neil Godfrey stated that Russell was charged with possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled-substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and the possession of drug paraphernalia. Russell was placed in the Moore Detention Center where he was given a $100,000 secured bond with a July 11, 2017 District Court date.
