Pinehurst Medical Clinic dermatology welcomes new nurse practitioner

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) welcomes Ashley Cochran, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to its award-winning dermatology team. Cochran will welcome new patients at PMC Dermatology – Southern Pines which currently consists of board-certified dermatology physicians Dr. Juliann Wallner and Dr. Krystina Quow, advanced practice providers Chelsea Fairley, PA-C, Tia Fox, MMSc, PA-C, Carolina Nick, PA-C, and aesthetic nurse Jill Taylor, LPN. PMC dermatology is one of the only dermatology practices in Moore County to provide both medical and cosmetic dermatological care.

Cochran received her master of science in nursing with honors from Duke University School of Nursing in Durham, NC, and her bachelor of science in nursing from Colorado Christian University in Grand Junction, Colo.

A familiar face to PMC’s dermatology team, Cochran previously served patients as the nurse supervisor. She returns as a provider, now serving the medical and cosmetic needs of PMC dermatology patients. “My calling is to be a knowledgeable and compassionate nurse practitioner who truly makes a difference in patients’ lives,” shares Cochran. “I am passionate about the shared decision-making process to help patients reach their health care goals, advancement in beauty and overall wellness.”

Bringing over 15 years of clinical experience, Cochran looks forward to being back at PMC dermatology for the opportunity to serve the community in a field that she is truly passionate about. Through her previous time at PMC dermatology, Cochran assisted in skin cancer surgeries, provided patient education and helped with cosmetic injections and procedures. She also has experience in performing several cosmetic dermatology services and procedures including using Cutera laser systems, performing platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and Botox. Most recently, she has completed the Aesthetic Medical Education Training where she earned her Botox and Dermal Filler Certification. 

As a military spouse, Cochran and her family originally came to North Carolina because of a military assignment. Her husband and their children fell in love with the area and now call Moore County home.

Outside of providing care to patients, Cochran enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with her family and making memories with the ones she loves.
