Village seeks volunteers for the Neighborhood Advisory Committee

The Village of Pinehurst has recently completed a draft Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Assessment and Transition Plan and seeks public input using Engage Pinehurst, the Village’s online platform for resident engagement.

The draft Self-Assessment and Transition Plan is intended to identify barriers to those with disabilities and develop approaches to meet their needs. This plan represents a comprehensive review of buildings, sidewalk crossings, employment practices, and communication methods to identify potential issues and project a timeframe for addressing those issues.

As part of the commitment to ensuring inclusivity, the Village seeks public feedback on the draft plan to ensure they have appropriately identified deficiencies within the public realm and identified a timeframe to address those.

To that end, they request interested parties view the document posted on the Engage Pinehurst resident engagement portal and leave your feedback and comments there.

For those who wish to view a printed copy and provide written or verbal comments, contact Assistant Village Manager Jeff Batton by calling 910-295-1900, emailing [email protected], or mailing comments to his attention at 395 Magnolia Rd., Pinehurst, NC 28374.

Public comment will be accepted through August 26, 2019. After staff has reviewed, evaluated, and incorporated comments received, the Village Council will be asked to adopt this plan, further committing the Village to ensuring inclusivity.
