Six people were arrested on drug and child abuse charges Wednesday after police searched a West End home, according to a news release from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Moore County Sheriff’s Office and the Pinehurst Police Department seized two bindles of heroin, 15 dosage units of crack-cocaine, assorted drug paraphernalia and over $900 in cash after searching a home in the 300 block of Carthage Road.

Sheriff Neil Godfrey said law enforcement arrested Jamar Spencer, 37, Joshua Wilkes, 32, Janice Wilkes, 22, Haley Fought, 22,  Angelina Martatos, 22, and Robin Childress, 59.  All but Childress lives in the searched home.  Childress lives in the 400 block of Cool Springs Road in Carthage.

All six individuals were charged with possession with the intent to sell and deliver heroin, felony possession of heroin, possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a place for the storage of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of misdemeanor child abuse and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Spencer was charged with an additional maintaining a place for the storage of a controlled substance.

Joshua Wilkes, Janice Wilkes, Fought, Martatos, and Childress were placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond.

Spencer was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $65,000 secured bond.

All six individuals are due in court on January 9th, according to arrest records.
