The Southern Pines Police Department is seeking the identification of an individual who they say stole merchandise from Lowe’s Home Improvement on U.S. Highway 15-501.
In a news advisory, the police department said the crime took place on July 22.
The suspect allegedly stole a shell pole chainsaw and Kobalt string trimmer. The person left the store in a black, older model, Chevrolet pickup truck.
The items are worth nearly $300.
“The Southern Pines Police Department is seeking assistance from anyone who may have information related to the identity of this suspect,” said the department. “Information can be provided by calling the Southern Pines Police Department at (910) 692-7031, or the Investigation Division of the Southern Pines Police Department at (910) 693-1481, or the Crime Tip Line at (910) 693-4110. All information provided will remain confidential and can be provided anonymously.”
