The Southern Pines Police are looking for a man who they say robbed Kay Jewelers in Southern Pines on Wednesday.

Around 2:20 p.m., the suspect entered the store pointing a pistol at the employees while ordering them to fill a bag with the jewelry and then fled the store.

“An investigation conducted by the Patrol and Investigation Divisions of the Southern Pines Police Department has led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Angelo Epps, 59, with a last known address of Fayetteville, North Carolina for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and three counts of Second Degree Kidnapping,” said Southern Pines Police Department.

Police describe Epps as an “African American male, 6’0”, 160 pounds, brown eyes, close cut black hair and was last known to be wearing a grey baseball hat with a red bill, light grey Nike tee shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.”

The department said the suspect is considered “armed and dangerous as he is additionally wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies outside of Moore County.”
