$2,000 in cigarettes stolen from High Falls store

On Sunday, Aug. 21, someone broke into the Quick’n Easy store in High Falls.

Moore County deputies responded to an alarm at the store on Highway 22 in the early morning hours. When deputies arrived, the lock on the front door had been broken, and no one was on scene.

It was discovered around $2,000 in cigarettes had been stolen. It appeared nothing else was stolen, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office. 

A week earlier on Aug. 14, Dollar General on Highway 22, in the Town of Coleridge, located in Randolph County, 14 miles from High Falls, was robbed during business hours.

According to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, “There is nothing to determine that they are connected, but it can’t be ruled out. We are talking with Randolph County to determine if they are linked.”
