revival comes to Carthage

Friday night, the 3rd annual Falling Walls Revival kicked off with Grammy award-winning artist Jason Crabb.

The event is put on by Awaken Ministries. The revival takes place every October at the Moore County Fairgrounds. This year’s revival will continue Saturday and Sunday night at 6:30 p.m.

Director Tommy Scarboro, of Awaken Ministries, told Sandhills Sentinel “the purpose is the unity of churches to come together and to see people saved and set free. We hope to restore hope to the people who are looking for answers during this time. This year is different than the past years. You can’t see it now, but you can feel it. Were expecting something great.”

This is Jason Crabb’s third year kicking off the revival and fifth time to Moore County. When Sandhills Sentinel sat down with Jason, we had one question: what keeps you coming back to our community? “I believe in this ministry. I love what this ministry stands for. It brings people together.”

Awaken Ministries invites anyone out for this time of unity and worship. You can enjoy the services in the seating area or from your car in a designated parking area.

With rain in the forecast, they have not made any decisions about services. “We will play it by ear and make a decision if the time comes,” said Scarboro.
