Robbins continues with the Christmas tradition

With many towns in Moore County canceling its parades, Robbins carried on the tradition Thursday evening. The town issued a statement on their Facebook page for spectators to follow the 3 W’s due to the coronavirus.

People were allowed to participate with no registration fee this year.

Salisbury Street and Middleton Street were lined with families celebrating the season. One spectator said, “After the kids not being able to go out this year and not able to go to school most of the year, it was nice to bring them out, and let them get into the holiday spirit.”

With most towns canceling their parades, some have decided to have drive-by events.

Robbins will have its drive-by Santa visit on December 8 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Robbins Town Hall.

Crains Creek Fire and Rescue will have Santa drive-by in neighborhoods on December 19 starting on Wright Rd. at approximately 1:05 p.m.

Pinebluff Fire and Rescue and Santa will be on Sunday at 1 p.m. starting on the east side of town.
